What is HOUSE MUSIC ? It's the evolution of modern music in a dance form. Soul and Gospel are some of it's influences , but Rock , Jazz , Blues , R+B , Euro , various South American , Caribbean , African , and other types of musical genres all make their contribution to House. HOUSE MUSIC , is for dancing , but what sets it apart from everything else is that it is more than that. HOUSE gives it's dancers and listeners more.It dominates your senses with it's compelling beat , sublte melodis and much of the time soulful vocals.It not only stimulates the body's senses , but also the souls. Hypnotic , raw , powerful , and uplifting are some words that best describe House.
Up from the underground , based on what was being played and heard at Chicagos (Ware)house , Music Box , and other Chicago Parties in the early to mid eighties , it later (in mid eighties)was to become labeled in Chicago as "HOUSE MUSIC" , and it was originally created by DJ's and musicians , in much part for their own use , though it quickly got into Chicago's Hotmix/Mastermix radio shows. There it received mass acceptance. It came appeal to all economic , age and race variables. HOUSE MUSIC is so diverse - there are so many types of Dance music that fit "HOUSE MUSIC".Those who think it is only a passing fad would probably have said the same thing about R+B or Rock-n-Roll. HOUSE MUSIC has become an exciting scene , hitting with the energy of a bomb in mid/late eighties in ENGLAND, GERMANY, and all of EUROPE as well , and now danced to the world over.
